Temporary side effects may include nausea, grogginess, or a rise in blood pressure. Some patients report dissociation or vivid dreams. These are typically short-lived and manageable with dose adjustments or medications provided by our staff.
Recent media coverage has raised concerns about ketamine being used in unsafe or unregulated settings. It is important to distinguish these situations from the clinical use of ketamine under medical supervision. At Dreamscape, ketamine is prescribed, administered, and closely monitored by licensed professionals in a safe, structured environment. This ensures a high standard of care and patient safety throughout the treatment process.
When administered in a medical setting under proper supervision, ketamine has a very low risk of addiction. Recreational or unsupervised use is very different from the safe, clinically monitored experience we provide at Dreamscape. Our trained staff continuously monitor for any signs of misuse and are committed to patient safety every step of the way.
We offer intravenous (IV), intramuscular (IM), and intranasal ketamine therapy.
We do not currently offer oral or lozenge-based ketamine as we do not believe home-use is safe.
Treatment begins with the Induction Phase, typically six sessions over three weeks. Patients then enter the Maintenance Phase, with treatments scheduled as needed—usually weekly to every 6–7 weeks. If more than three months pass without a session, restarting the induction phase may be necessary.
Experiences vary, but most patients describe ketamine as calming or dream-like. You may feel relaxed, floaty, or disconnected from your usual thoughts. Some experience mild dissociation or enhanced awareness. Our trained staff is here to support you throughout the experience.
This is rare, as we use low-dose, weight-based ketamine. Our clinic is designed to provide a calming environment, including dim lighting, candle-lit rooms, eye masks, star projectors, music curated for ketamine journeys, guided meditations, noise-cancelling headphones, blankets, and comfortable recliners. If you feel overwhelmed, our staff can stop the infusion, offer anti-anxiety medication, and help adjust your environment. You’re always in control. For your first treatment, a nurse will sit with you to guide and support you.
Most patients prefer to be alone during their sessions, as ketamine therapy is often a deeply personal and introspective experience. Our staff remains nearby and monitors you continuously, entering the room only upon request or if additional support is needed.
Registered nurses who are ICU or ER-trained and certified in both BLS and ACLS monitor your treatment. Although only BLS is required, we hold ourselves to a higher standard. We track your vital signs continuously and keep a crash cart on-site. If a nurse is not physically in the room, we use camera monitors to ensure your safety. A nurse is present for your first session and available for others upon request.
Schedule a consultation with our doctor to review your health history, medications, and concerns. If approved, we’ll set up your treatment plan. You’ll receive instructions, sign consents, and begin your IV infusion. Each session lasts about 40 minutes, and the full appointment takes 1.5–2 hours. Afterward, you’ll relax with a snack before heading home.
IV Infusion: $450 per session

We are the only ketamine clinic in San Diego County to offer payment plans for the first 6 infusions (50% due at treatment, then $100/month). We also accept CareCredit. Insurance usually does not cover ketamine, but we can provide a superbill for possible reimbursement.
No. You must arrange for a ride home. This can be through a ride share service or a trusted friend/family member. You may resume normal activities, including driving, the following day.
Yes. You may request a free consultation at any time. We also schedule check-ins before your 1st, 3rd, and 6th sessions and annually thereafter to monitor your progress.
If you’re already receiving IM ketamine from another provider, you may continue with that route. However, all new patients must begin with two IV infusions to ensure safety in the event of an adverse reaction. After two successful IV sessions, and with doctor approval, you may transition to IM.
Appointments typically last 1 to 2 hours, including preparation, infusion, and post-treatment recovery.

Temporary side effects may include nausea, grogginess, or a rise in blood pressure. Some patients report dissociation or vivid dreams. These are typically short-lived and manageable with dose adjustments or medications provided by our staff.
You’ll be continuously monitored via heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, and respiratory rate. Two external camera monitors are also used for added safety.
Some patients feel improvement after one session, though most experience significant relief after 3–4 treatments.
If you do not feel better after six sessions, we’ll reassess your plan. While ketamine helps 75–80% of patients, it may not be the best fit for everyone.
We prioritize safety, comfort, and personalized care. Our clinic is staffed by highly trained ICU/ER nurses certified in BLS and ACLS. We offer a peaceful, welcoming space and a clinical team that closely monitors your well-being throughout treatment.
